FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything You Need to Know

Leaving your pet with a stranger is never an easy decision, and I’m sure you have a lot of questions about how it works. I’ve compiled some of the most common questions into the list below. If you want further information, just get in touch.

HOW MANY ANIMALS WILL YOU CARE FOR AT ONCE?

As a single sitter, I am responsible for the safety of the animals and I am very conscious to never over-commit myself to sits where the animals would ever become difficult to manage.

When it comes to dogs, I will often not take on any more than 2 dogs at a time providing they can be walked together easily. Cats are easier to manage and I once sat for a house with 6 indoor cats. It all depends on the types of animals and their individual needs. All pets needs and requirements will be discussed prior to me accepting any pet or home sit.

At the Vet

MY PET NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET. WILL YOU TAKE THEM?

My pet sitting insurance policy provides me with up to £10 million worth of Public Liability, £100,000 Care, Custody and Control cover should an animal get injured or lost and will cover Veterinary treatment.

£10,000 worth of lost key cover along with up to £250 of equipment cover.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH RARE OR EXOTIC PETS?

I have taken care of a variety of different animals, from Parrots and Lovebirds to Bearded Dragons and even Alpacas!

I am extremely passionate about animals and recently dedicated 6 months to saving an abused/traumatised dog who had been shot and left for dead. This involved crowdfunding for her medical treatment, dedicating time and patience to her rehabilitation and helping her to build trust in humans again. She has now fully recovered and I found her a safe forever-home with a wonderful and loving family.

I have also worked with and provided therapy to animals who experience anxiety or unusual phobias, including an agoraphobic dog who I helped to overcome his fears with gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement.
